Another Year Older

Hello!

Well, I turned 17 this weekend and decided that instead of writing a post about how I celebrated that I would write about the year and what changes i had gone through. 

So, this time last year, I had just left school and was planning to start college in September. I was planning to get my A Levels and then go to university, all though I wasn't sure what I wanted to study. However, in December I left college (ill talk about this more another time) and within a month I really started to panic about what I would do with my life. I went a bit crazy and it wasn't until about a month later that I decided not to worry so much, I later applied for a different college and a different course and concentrated more on enjoying my time rather than worrying about my future. 

During spring I decided to do some work experience to help me decide what I wanted to do and this was when I applied for my new college course. I went to my interview and got accepted to study media at an arts college which I am super excited about. 

This year I have gained a better idea of what I want to do and also gained more confidence in myself. I feel more comfortable in situations which last year would have stressed me out. This year has also seen my love of make up and beauty and fashion grow, this is mainly because of other blogs that I have discovered and is why I have started this blog. 

I am currently feeling happy and looking forward to things I have planned for the rest of the year, such as going on my fist holiday without my parents, with my sister. I start college in a couple of months and  I'm sure that's going to be a big change for me but I'm sure I will cope. This year has been full of hard decisions and hopefully this next year will be more fun and light hearted.

Primark Haul

Hello!

This weekend I went shopping with my sister and a friend to get some clothes as were going on holiday in a few weeks. I got a few bits and pieces from Topshop and H&M but I thought I would do a post about what I brought from primark. 

I got quite a few things that I like but was slightly disappointed because I couldn't find a maxi dress which was something that I really wanted to get. Anyway, I'll get on with it.

I'll start with my sandles, they were supposed to be £5 but were reduced to £3 so they were an absolute bargain! In the top left are my first pair, they're black with little silver spikes along the strap. In the bottom right are my other pair, these are a pinky/nude colour and have little rose gold studs along the strap. They are super comfy and fit great on my wide feet, and for the price that they were I couldn't not buy them!

I also got two bags, one was a handbag as the one I had been using was looking a little worse for wear, and the other was a small Aztec bag that I'm using to put my toiletries in for my holiday. Both bags have a lot of room inside and handy little side pockets. My handbag was £12 and my toiletry bag was £4. Not bad at all.

I got two dresses, a crop top and a maxi skirt whilst I was there and I love them! 

My maxi skirt was a complete accidental buy, I spotted my crop top and thought its was really pretty but I didn't have anything to try it on with, so I just grabbed this as it was nearest to me, but when I tried it on it looked so summery and my sister convinced me that I had to get it, so I did. The top was £4 and the skirt was  £10, you can't really argue with that.

Next was my mint green dress. I absolutely adore this dress! Firstly, it's mint green which is my all time favourite colour - it's so pretty! And secondly, i don't own a dress with a square cut neckline and I thought it would be nice to have some variation in my dresses. It really is so so pretty and it was only £13!

And finally my grey loose midi dress. I have been wanting one of these dresses for ages but I wasn't sure it would look nice on me, anyway I decided to try it on and I love it, I wish I had gotten one sooner. These dresses are so comfy and I think I'm going to wear it to travel in with a hoodie and maybe some converse. It was £10. On the picture it has a scarf wrapped around it, this too was from primark and was £4, I have been wanting a scarf for a while and this one caught my eye so I threw it in my basket.

Introduction - About me!

Hello, 

My name is Bekka!

I thought i should start by introducing myself and writing a little bit about me.

So, I am currently 16 and will be starting college in September. I did start last year but I quit after a few months, because I didn't really like it, so now I'm starting somewhere new and I'm going to do something that I enjoy. At college I will be studying media, I've always been interested in film and t.v and I think it would be amazing to be able to create something like that. 

Although I do love movies and such, I also have another passion which is a mix of make up and beauty and all that! I'm nowhere near professional or anything like that, but I spend hours in boots looking at make up, I love it! So, this blog will be a mixture of beauty and lifestyle.

Oh, and should mention that I am English, I live in a little town in the midlands. I quite like living here but we don't have the best town center, it mainly consists of a few pound shops, a couple of games shops, a boots and quite a few charity shops. However, I'm quite the thrift shop enthusiast, so no complaints here! 

Anyway, I'll be writing some, hopefully more interesting, posts (this one was a bit waffley but they will get better, bare with me.) so I hope you enjoy.
